“When I close my eyes I see places and faces, I’m unfamiliar with both but seem to have a connection with them.”

-Many people I speak with

I used to be surprised when I’d be doing a reading and people would clue me into their own natural ability to connect with Spirit or beyond. As far as I knew when I first started doing this there weren’t that many gifted Mediums or Psychics. How would I know otherwise? I laugh now because so many have stepped forward and told me. It makes sense to me, we all have a level of this gift one way or another. Are we all the best at it? Nope. I’m not a strong swimmer but I float pretty well. Can I become a better swimmer. Yup! With practice and coaching and a willingness to learn.

I am constantly learning and taking what I learn and bringing it here. One thing I’ve been learning alot about the last few months is how many people are thirsty for this knowledge. How can they improve, who can guide them? What are the “proper” steps to take? Wow, who knows! I personally have taken a little bit from everyone I’ve learned from and made it my own. I think that’s just human. What works for one doesn’t work for everyone. What is interesting is how many experience the same things when their Third Eye begins to open. Unfamiliar places and faces that seem to hold significance to them. That’s how it started for me and it was a cloudy unclear mess. Making sense of this gift is a bit of a burden at first, until the clarity comes. Then it is a true gift with many rewards.

If this is your first time here go back and start from the beginning or go from here. Nothing is changing. Opening your intuition begins withmeditations. Quiet your mind, create a comfortable place in your imagination to relax in. Place yourself at ease with breathing and grounding. Look back for tips on medications, mostly I recommend quiet music and a comfy spot to sit in for about 15 minutes.

Once you mediate and PRACTICE it for several days you will get better, your clarity will improve. It’s like swimming under water without goggles and then putting on a pair. You have seen shapes and colors but everything was out of focus. Now with your meditation goggles it’s all clear and you can see the vividness of the Spirit and all things around you.

Your intuition will guide you to what is important as long as you operate without hesitation or doubt. Clear your mind, breath, know yourself and become clear with practice.

I use this technique to speak with the deceased and to do psychic readings. There is no real secret except I practice and I believe what am experiencing. You do the same. Maybe easier said than done but I know you can do it!

Here is your intention. Write it down.

“I will see more clearly today than yesterday.”

What is in this for YOU?

When I take my time and stop for a little bit I reflect heavily on what I’m doing and what is in it for me. What am I gaining from giving away the information I’ve learned about Mediumship, Psychic gifts and all things “mystical?” Who is benefitting from this blog? Who am I really doing this for?

It’s a good question, one I’d like you to take a moment and ask yourself as well. I have been doing readings more and more steadily in the last few months and as a result my blog content has gone down, sorry about that. What has happened also though is I’m finding more and more people with gifts who need a place to start learning about them. Of course I direct them here and tell them to start reading from blog one and then think about how once they read through to the most current blog that they may be left hanging. I certainly don’t want to leave anyone hanging, especially if they are finding this site useful and easy to understand. With that said I will be picking up some new things to write about in regards to developing your own gifts. Now with that I ask “Who are you developing your gifts for and why?”

I started developing my own gifts pretty much out of instinct. I didn’t really have a motive other than I felt it needed to happen. Once I started to really dive in and understand who I was and how each of my own gifts worked I wanted to know more, not only did I want to know more but I wanted to test myself as myouruch as possible.

I started doing readings for friends and close family and it was a rush to say the least, when I would speak on behalf of a deceased person to the living. Describing an old apartment or fond memory they had, telling the living that the departed family member was alright and at peace became comforting to me. In the moment it was anyway, there was certainly a strain at home and there always will be. That’s with anything we dedicate time to, I want you to remember that for anything you apply yourself to. At first my wife thought it was a novelty or something I probably wouldn’t pursue too heavily, I have many interests and they all fizzle out and come back in waves.

Mediumship however never stopped being on my mind, it grew, like a small sapling into what is now a maturing tree. I consumed books and books, videos and podcasts and anything I could find for free on the Internet. Then something happened. I hit a wall. I grew as far as I felt I could. I kept reading the same things over and over, now what?

I decided I would take my perspective and knowledge and write a blog. Then the blog needed exposure so I started an Instagram and Facebook page for it. Then time went on, people booked me for readings and gave me glowing reviews, passed my cards along to family and friends. My Gift that was my passion grew into a small business. Well known people in the business of Psychics and Mediums have taken notice of me, even well known Paranormal Investigators ask my opinion on some of their cases. To say I’m humbled by all of that would be an understatement.

I recently became so overwhelmed with people asking for readings that I asked my wife to be the schedule keeper, a big step for me since I had been managing it myself for so long. Not only a big step for me though, a big one for her as well. Shellie, my wife takes care of our 2 young children, the house, the bills, the cooking and laundry and manages me now. My gift has turned into another job for someone else, thank goodness she took the position because I was drowning in schedule hell.

I write the blog for you. I want you to develop your gifts, whatever they may be. I want you to be as good as you can be with as much free information as you can get. That’s what I wanted for myself as well. I have that and so much more. Now, ask yourself “What is in this for YOU?”

What are you going to do with your gift once you have developed it into something that you can do on demand? Are you going to keep it to yourself? Are you going to tell friends? Will you make a business out of it? That’s all up to you. I just think about how I started doing this with no intention of being where I am and wonder what others are doing with the gift they have.

I’ll leave this session with this:

Do not have fear of the unknown. Embrace your Gifts, be positive and do this for you!

Best Intentions

Intention, what is yours? If you have been following me for any time at all you would know that my intention is to teach as much as possible without charging anybody for one blog session. As long as you’ve been coming to my website I have always said that I have been trying to provide a service that I wish was available to me. My question for you now is what are you doing to pay it forward to others? Have you taken some of my advice and gone to other people like us and spread the knowledge? Have you tried to reach out for others with your gift that you have been developing? Have you tried to do some readings for the best interest of other people?

If you have not yet I would like for you to take a minute and think about how you can do something nice for somebody else. The most important part of this is not thinking about what you’re going to do but actually just doing something. The best intentions sometimes go unfulfilled. Execution is 100% the end goal. If you have been writing nice things down in your book to do for other people but have not done one of them then you truly haven’t done anything yet at all. Today, the day that you are reading this I want you to take one thing and do it for somebody else. It doesn’t have to be psychic related it could just be buying someone a coffee, picking someone else’s kids up from school for them, doing the laundry or cooking dinner. The sky is the limit and the ball is in your court.

Parsinvestigations.com

Today’s the day that you are going to do something good for somebody else and you will not expect anything back in return. It is my belief that once you start doing good for other people the good that you will feel inside will motivate you to do more and once that feeling wells up inside of you enough the universe will take notice and start returning back to you what you have put out. Of course this is an old notion called karma but sometimes we need a real life day today example of how to get started. So today you were going to get started.

When you are done reading this please just hit the share button copy it and paste it to whatever social media you belong to and let’s get some really nice things going for everybody. Again I don’t make anything off of this except for the fact that I know I am trying to put the good out there in the universe for everybody to share in. I would love to see this shared so many times that you come back to me, and you all have great stories to tell me about all of the good that you have done for other people. Then you can tell your story about how you have been rewarded.

Holiday Spirit!

Hey there, it has been a while. I hope that everybody is getting ready for the holiday season. What sorts of traditions do you follow, what do you and your family do for the holidays? Generally at my house we have Christmas Eve with my wife’s family and then we head to my parents house for Christmas Day. It is usually nothing too fancy just dinner the exchange of presents and a nice time had by all.

I know that the holidays aren’t always so happy for everybody, but we try to do our best to help those who may maybe are not having such a good time. If you attend services at a church or at Temple I am sure that you are told to count your blessings, at least where I go that is what we are told. Sometimes we think that we have it hard when in reality it is only hard for us because we look around and see what others may have and know that we do not have them. I recently fell victim to this sort of thinking, it took me a little bit of meditation and a kick in the pants from my lovely wife to realize that I really do have the whole world.

As you know from reading my other blogs I am a big fan of meditation, it is always a good way to take a good look into our selves and also help develop critical-thinking for getting ourselves out of tough situations. By tough situation it doesn’t always have to be something catastrophic in life it could just be walls that we have put up for ourselves. What walls do we put up for ourselves you may ask. Well we tend to project our feelings onto other people and think we know what they are thinking about us and our situations. This is a tricky place to put yourself into and again it is something that I have done for myself multiple times and I am learning to not do it. By projecting our feelings onto other people we tend to not be able to find out what they are truly thinking and how they feel, once we break down this wall for ourselves we will be able to have a more full and Rich experience among others.
Don’t be a Grumy Cat!

I am kind of trying to go over this right now because I know that during the holidays it becomes very stressful for each of us and sometimes we can become spiteful and angry amid all of the stress. We forget that the true Spirit of Christmas and the holidays is to be generous with ourselves and our time, it isn’t all about the monetary gains of presents and all of the trimmings.

When you travel in the upcoming weeks to your Christmas parties and your holiday festivities make sure to let go of some of your walls and don’t worry so much about what you have physically brought, think about what you have spiritually brought to the event. Make sure to hand out plenty of hugs and smiles make sure that you shake lots of hands and send well wishes and intentions towards everyone. That is the true Spirit of the holiday, it should be enough that it lasts a person an entire year and next year you can recharge them with the same Smiles handshakes and hugs. Make them remember that when they go home that you were so generous and giving of yourself your time and your spirit. I would bet that most people would be excited that you gave them that opportunity to know you and give them something to reflect on about how they will start spreading their holiday spirit.

Thank you for stopping by, catch me on Facebook Tuesday and Fridays for live videos and check out my YouTube channel that is now up and running.

Validation

Hey Everyone! Sorry I haven’t posted in a while I have been very busy! I have been writing a Paranormal Class that I will be teaching with my group as well as investigating with them and that is a task in of its self. I also have been keeping busy with doing readings and doing my best to practice what I preach, so meditations and making sure that I am practicing connecting with Spirit.

I’d like to go on a bit about validation, it is very important. It’s important to us on every level in just about everything we do. If you do a good job at work it’s nice when the boss says good job and when you are holding the house together and your spouse tells you they appreciate it you get a sense that what you are doing matters. When they tell you that you are doing good and give a specific reason or example it feels even better, it means they are really paying attention. Often times we don’t get that in life unfortunately, even when we go above and beyond it may go unnoticed. What happens when our hard work goes without notice? Well if you are like me then you stop trying so hard. That isn’t the right attitude but come on, why go the extra mile when no one is going to validate it for you? With a psychic reading it is very similar and it isn’t at all.

When I do a reading for someone I want it to be the best experience for them that they can have, I always do my best to concentrate and really dig when Spirit is giving me half answers and obscure references to work with. I have found that sometimes those obscure refrences are actually very detailed and very important and I am sure I have said this before that it is key for you to trust your instinct and say exactly what is on your mind. I recently did a reading and prior to going I really wanted to call ahead and tell the client to light candles, not something I normally would do, and I blew it! I didn’t call and at the end of the reading the gentleman picked up some home-made candles and said that he had hoped his deceased mother would have mentioned them because they were in her glass pudding cups. I couldn’t believe it! I told him about wanting to call and we both laughed about it, I of course am upset because that isn’t what I tell everyone else to do. Follow your instincts!

During the same reading I had a Spirit come to me, well many of them it was like a party with how many relatives were showing up to speak to their living family. Anyway, I got the name Anthony or Tony and I received and image of an old 50’s style refrigerator and on the side of it was a magnet that said either “Sal’s” or “Salvators Pizza.” No one at the table connected to the name but I wrote it down, I was listening to my gut. After the reading I received a call from a man who was at the table and he had just hung up the phone with his mother. Her Brother, Tony worked at a pizzeria in the Bronx called Sal’s and they had a refrigerator just like I described in thier family kitchen. So this man had an uncle that passed from a car accident many years ago and he came through to say hello!

In the same reading I was shown a drawing of a house where my client grew up and as I was looking at the drawing I could see a fire, and I asked about it. Sure enough there was a fire there and no one knew who started it. Then I got the name “Al” and asked about that, turns out that the person who purchased the home is named “Hal.” Why did I give you all of these examples? I gave them to you to show that in a reading you will get the validation if you put what you get out there and even when you don’t think you are going to get it you probably will!

I have learned that it is important to give out all of the information that you get because the reading is not for you, it is for the Spirit and the person in front of you. When you give everything that you can to the best of your ability then you will get a greater return on validation. When you get a greater return on validation you will become a better reader. If you get symbols that you don’t understand say what you see and let the person you are sitting with decide what that means, then for next time you have a better idea. For instance, when I see palm trees that means a warm climate place to me like California or Florida. I wouldn’t know that unless I had said it a few time and had someone validate it for me, now I know and can get a better reading done when I sit down. That is what you are looking to do and why validation is important doing this.

What happens if you come to a stale mate and are not getting anywhere? Well I have had this happen to me and it is ok to try to reset and refocus. If you aren’t receiving anything it is ok to say so and let the person you are doing the reading for know that. See if there is anyone else they would like to contact or try and give them a different kind of reading, the Universe may be telling you to that they need something else besides what you are trying to provide. What you do is up to you, just make sure that you are being honest and genuine.

Back to the validation, it is going to come and inspire you to be better at reading and it is going to move you forward faster every time you get it. I started with a reading that was so spot on that I could not believe that the client was lying to me to make me feel better. After that for a while the readings weren’t as clear, that was ok because it made me have try harder and develop my abilities. The validation from that reading however made me realize that I had this gift and that it was important to use it to help people.

A quick recap, what you see make sure you say. The worst thing that could happen is you are wrong. If validation isn’t immediate don’t worry it will come. The more you are validated the better you will become. The better you are the more confident you will be and the better all of your other endeavours will be. Don’t be afraid to be wrong! Make sure you are meditating and make sure that you are practicing! Don’t write anything off because anything is possible!

The more I connect the more I notice

Since you have been developing yourself or the more you have been actively investigating haunted locations the more you realize that it is all around you. If that statement holds true for you then you are not alone. Not only will you come to conclusions like that but you will most likely notice that more people like yourself are surfacing around you and making themselves known. This is something that is true in many avenues of our lives, like say when you want to buy a blue Honda Civic and you start noticing them everywhere. It is apart of the law of attraction, which is partly what this is about.

When you work hard for something you tend to surround yourself with people like yourself because they are most likely to help you succeed and help you accomplish your goals. If you are developing yourself as a psychic or medium then you are looking for other people who may be further along in their journey than you are to help you along. You read books and blogs like this one that can provide information or confirmation in the areas that you are looking for answers in. If you are investigating the paranormal you do the same, even if you aren’t sensitive to the spirit world. It is important to look for the signs around you and make meaningful connections to the sign being presented around you because they are there to aid you in your quest to fulfillment.

For me I have always been sensitive to Spirits and have always loved the paranormal but I didn’t have a clear connection with either and had no path to follow. Television believe it or not helped me realize what was going on in my own life and set me on a journey that has so far led me here, writing to you and hopefully helping you along. I think that the first TV medium I had seen was the Long Island Medium and when I watched the show I realized that she was doing what I do, connecting to the dead and speaking with spirits. I then realized that she was receiving these messages many times in the form of picture in her mind and it started to click, not everyone thinks like that and not everyone connects to each other that way. I then watched Kim Russo and realised that she would do the same thing and she would connect to Earthbound spirits or ghosts, and she connected in a way that I understood also.

The third Medium I saw on TV was Monica the Medium and after I watched a season of her show I came to realization that I was also a Medium just like all three of them. I read all the books they wrote and continue to read anything they publish. I went from needing to see the act performed to needing to understand myself more and learning from anyone who was a credible source who could help me along. I found a Mediumship group online and hung out for a bit watching others, then one day a woman posted a photo of her deceased 18-year-old daughter and asked for a reading. I looked at the photo for a little while and then it hit me, all at once. I could see in my mind where the young woman lived, the drug addiction she faced in life and the death she suffered. I quickly posted back to the woman who was looking for help and she validated it all. Shortly after more information from other Spirits came to me and for people I knew in my personal life. Before I knew it I was giving readings and connecting people with those who passed.

I then had an encounter which you can read about in an earlier post about a haunted theater and that led me to the Paranormal team I am apart of now. I am now teaching classes to other people about how to investigate hauntings and the more I get into the field the deeper I get involved with others who do the same thing, I am also noticing that I am taking leadership roles in these areas which I wouldn’t have imagined several years ago. I have realized that thanks to this amazing gift that I have a natural flow for so much of the unexplained and the paranormal. Let me say in conjunction with that, I do not believe or think that I know it all and nor will I ever claim that. I am always looking for answers and eager to teach others what I have discovered, which is why I have this page and why I spend time writing about it.

So what I would like anyone reading this to take away is this: If you are developing as a Medium or Psychic or a Paranormal Investigator or anything else please pay attention to the world that is occurring around you. Pay attention to the people coming into your life and help them and don’t be afraid to help them. Sharing ideas and thoughts and knowledge is very important, it not only helps us get along but it furthers the area or field in which you are involved in. Don’t be afraid to jump in and learn and that is equal for don’t be afraid to get in and teach, I would only caution that you should make sure you are doing no harm by your teaching. Positive intentions and a forward flow are important. Get out there today and make it happen, the signs are around you!

Voice Recorders and EVP

PARANORMAL CORNER

VOICE RECORDER AND EVP!

Hey there! Welcome to our second installment of Paranormal Corner, today I am writing about the Voice Recorder and capturing EVP’s. You have definitely seen recorders used if you watch any paranormal shows. It’s a small black or silver device that fits in your hand and simply records your voice during your investigation.

Lets start with the history of this and what it is used for. So, we start with the fact that years ago this little machine that fits in our hands used to be about 10 pounds and have to sit on a table with a separate microphone and two reels or spools of “tape” that recorded what was happening around it. The machine was expensive and so was the tape that you needed to recorded it, there was no enhancing what you recorded either, you got what you got unless you were an audio engineer. So imagine having to lug this machine around from room to room and having to set it up every time you were ready to record. I would say that you would have to be a dedicated investigator to do that, like Ed and Loraine Warran who you can look up and see lots of photos with them using that exact device.

Today the voice recording technology fits in your hand and can be run continuously for hours at a time without stopping. You can even take out your smart phone and use the application that it most likely came with to record during your investigations. I personally recommend against that if you can, mostly because cell phones send and receive information in such a way that it can give false results to other equipment around it, such as an EMF meter. In a pinch its ok though, if you are in a room and hearing a voice with no recorder break out that smart phone and start recording!

What kind of recorder is best for you? I would say that depends on how often you investigate and your budget. Our team uses a small array of different recorders and they all cost between forty and sixty dollars. Prior to me joining the team they had some expensive recorders, about two hundred dollars or so each and they got away from them due to difficult operation and the super sensitivity of the microphone being used. In paranormal investigations we use things that were intended for other purposes for capturing evidence of possible huntings. I would recommend that if you are a novice investigator get a less expensive recorder, they can be purchased online or in a store. I recommend Amazon.com they have quick shipping and lots of reviews for the products they sell. I will provide a link to the exact recorder that i prefer using.

When you start investigating it is important to use the right tool for the job! Of course we rely heavily on cameras because seeing is believing and evidence on video is almost irrefutable. Not every haunting though has claims of seeing apparitions or shadows or having objects move, sometimes people just experience hearing phenomenon. For that we would go into the situation with a voice recorder to try to capture an EVP, Electronic Voice phenomenon. EVP’s are believed to be a spirit communicating through speech that we can record on a digital or analog device. Going back to years ago an investigator would have to use the reel tapes and record and then rewind the tapes and go over it with headphones in complete silence. Now we have the luxury of digital, record, review and determine! Right on the spot!

That brings us to the next part of this little lesson. The different ways to implement our recorders. First and probably the most cumbersome way to use the recorders is to leave them in a room unattended and running throughout the investigation. This is not the best method, it leaves room for contamination and perhaps getting false evidence. If you have a small team and know that you will not have cross contamination this is an ok method. The second method is to have a recorder with you and activate it only while you are asking questions, this is called conducting an “EVP session.” This will cut down review time and also lets you immediately review it after asking several questions. This method is a great way to conduct this part of the investigation because you can hear potential answers to your questions and can help further your investigation along in real-time. Another way I recently heard someone suggest is to have a recorder for every room and label it with the date and room it is in. The recorder should stay in that room the entire investigation and it can be used and activated by anyone who is in that room. This is a good idea, it can help you keep organized after the investigation wraps up.

A little more advanced way to use the recorders for EVP sessions is to keep one rolling in the room you are in and have a second one that you can do immediate review on. This way you have twice as good a chance of capturing evidence and have a good back up if you capture something. Sometimes a voice is heard on one recorder and not another and I have even found that sometimes the voice at the same time has said two different things at the same time, this is a discussion for another time but I wanted to let you know that it is something that happens. Remember that if you only have one recorder that is ok, I understand that equipment is expensive and you need to build your inventory slowly.

We find that while using recorders, even the less expensive ones it is important to state out loud if you hear something because the recorder does pick it up. This goes for bodily functions as well, especially a hungry belly growling for a Big Mac. A rumble from your stomach can sound like an angry spirit on your recorder, even like people talking sometimes. Make sure that you say nice and loud for the recorder if your stomach rumbled. The next thing is that if you hear tapping, scraping or dragging you mention it. If you hear footsteps or anything that is not explainable around you say it out loud for the recorder, this will aid in your review in helping not wonder what you are hearing. The most important rule I find to follow is to make sure that you and your team do not whisper while talking, you do not want to hear your conversation in a whisper and think it is paranormal. This is important because many EVP’s are whispery and low, unless you get a really nice one.

This brings up classification of EVP recordings. It is pretty well accepted that their are three grades of EVP: Class A is completely audible and understandable and many times a direct response to something an investigator has asked or said. Class B a little scratchy and can be talking or an unexplained noise. Class c is an unexplained noise and generally is not that clear. Anything under C should be filed away and not forgotten. You may capture something better that sounds similar and it will be good to have something to compare it to.

Next is the review! After capturing your evidence it is important to do a slow a deliberate review. Make sure to use headphones, if you are reviewing on the spot it is ok to listen to the recording over the built-in speaker but this is usually not the best method as it sounds very scratchy. After capturing anything that you perceive as evidence you should mark the times you heard it at, write down what you think it is or what it is saying and then transfer the evidence to a computer for storage. After you have done that bring your evidence to someone else and give them the times of the evidence without telling them what you think you have heard. Let them come to a conclusion and tell you what they think they have heard and then compare notes.

That’s it! I hope you enjoyed this little lesson and can put it to use on your next or first investigation!
