Grounding in Reality.

It seems that when I read about Psychic development I see the word “grounding” in sentences that say it is important so that you can connect with Spirit better. This may be, but the real reason is so that you can stay connected to our reality.

Here is your Grounding Cord

Grounding is the anchor in the sea of Spirit. It doesn’t necessarily make it easier for you to communicate with them but certainly makes it safer. Imagine if when an astronaut did a space walk they just went out there without a tether. They would float off into infinity and beyond. Well that’s the idea of your grounding cord to the Earth during Spirit communication, psychic work and even meditations.

The cord should help provide good positive energy flow from the ground up in order to strengthen your signal but at the same time it needs to keep you firmly planted here in the third dimension so when your Spirit work is done you can come back to where you belong.

Have you ever been told you are a “space cadet?” Maybe that you aren’t present during a conversation or many conversations? Happens to me often enough. It’s because I wasn’t doing the basic thing I should have been doing, keeping a strong grounding cord to the Earth. Yeah, it’s a metaphysical cord but it works, keeps us planted on Space Station Earth. When we practice making the cord prior to every Spirit consult or meditation we do it becomes stronger and more second nature, it stays in place during our practice and when we are out doing everyday people stuff like having dinner, watching a movie or hanging out with the family.

3 Rescue Steps for Empaths!

As I sat at dinner tonight with my family, at a popular chain restaurant I had an old feeling wash over me. Loud uncontrollable Spirit noise.

Wow, it was uncomfortable, I could hear peoples issues and inner thoughts (not mind reading by a long shot) things they kept away from the people they loved and knew dearly. It was translated into anxiety for me. It was becoming overwhelming. I had to go to a place I learned about from others, meditation space. I had to ground and protect myself.

By the time I go myself together it was already too late, my skin was crawling my thoughts were racing and I was not having a good night anymore. It was time to go to my pocket, old trusty celenite. I held it and ran my energy through it, helping filter out the noise of everyone around me. Finally I was feeling peace again. I wasn’t at my 100% self but I was better than I was.

When I got back home I had to salt shower and do a quiet meditation to push away all that I had accidentally absorbed. It’s tough to be an Empath and a Medium. It used to be worse, I didn’t know how to do any of the rescue methods and I didn’t know that I was even being affected by all of those other peoples energy. It took a long time and lots of energy to understand what was happening.

Does this sound familiar to you? If it does and you find yourself overwhelmed like I described follow these three Rescue steps.

1. Take a deep breath and realize you are being affected by others.

2. Close your eyes. Find what comforts you. Focus on it.

3. Stay calm and exit the area as soon as you can.

After doing these immediate action rescue steps it’s time to get home and do a deep meditation, however or whatever works for you and take a salt shower.

Make sure to practice the rescue steps when you aren’t being overwhelmed that way when it does happen you’ll be prepared. Also, it doesn’t hurt to purchase some celenite for your pocket.

It IS YOUR TIME!

More Validation

I have been building a client base for several years now and of course I’ve read for the same person (people) more than once. It can be more difficult to read for someone time and time again when you I pride myself in being authentic through validation.

The first time I read for this particular person I brought their Grandmother through and validated them through some specific information. Then the second time other specific information and so on until today. I sat at the table with my client and said “I’m not sure how else I’m going to validate Grandma, she is just here.” With that I get the impression if another woman in Spirit with us.

I start writing and get a name, then a visual of what they looked like. After writing it down I ask the client “Do you know a heavy set woman with large dimples named Julie?” “That was Grandma’s best friend and she is passed too!” So Grandma brought her best friend to help validate that I was once again speaking to her. Lol what a funny way to keep the validation train going!

That taught me a valuable lesson There is always something new to learn! That being from others, Spirit or through Mediumship. This particular client has been giving me lessons to learn from the get go and some day I’ll share the stories and how incredible the experiences have been over the last few years.

Make sure to go into every reading with a clear and open mind, whether you are doing the reading or the recipient. Expect to be surprised and expect to always learn something new!

The Space Between

There is a space between worlds, not planets or solar systems but between where we are physically now and where we head after this.

That space is normally unoccupied and very peaceful. It is the place where Spirit can come and fill space with energy and with enough meditation and focus we can tune into them there, for a few moments you can dream when you are awake and see the people you miss and love the most.

The first step is to have faith that this space exists and that you can in fact access it. Most likely you have been there before, possibly without even knowing it. When you start to fall asleep or when you just wake up and the thoughts are crystal clear and fleeting all at once. You can see and hear everything and comprehend what it is in the moment but once you go to grasp it. It is all gone.

You know this place right? Like a memory that you cannot quiet get right but you know if you focus you’ll get it back. I don’t want to call it specifically a dream because you have to be awake to experience it. That’s where the second step comes in, after the faith that it is there is in place. Patience, the patience to keep meditating until it becomes habit to remember mostly everything from your walks in this space. Once you are there the third step is easy. Before the meditation invite the people you love and miss to meet you there.

The faith with insure that you have the experience, the patience will help you get your meditation just right so you can remember the visits and all their details. Inviting who you want to see sets the intention in place.

This is the basic way Mediums like myself do what we do and most of us started this way and fall back on it when we need to refocus.

Forgiving is not forgetting

So many times I sit with folks and someone from the other side comes to speak with us only for me to hear “I don’t want to speak to them.” That’s a powerful statement, someone has taken the energy to come through and the living don’t have an interest in speaking with them. That means there was a tremendous amount of pain and hurt between the two parties at some point in life.

I would never and have never said that someone is “cursed.” That’s a word I don’t believe in, at this point in my understanding of energy and how things work from a psychic and Mediumship standpoint. With that said, having a horrible relationship with someone and not making an amends with them even after they have passed is as close to a curse as I have ever seen.

When a negative, bad or downright evil person has done harm to us in life why would we forgive them when they are gone? They don’t deserve forgiveness and they aren’t getting it. I understand, I totally understand. However just read this next part: Not forgiving them leaves you with an equal amount of pain as them. They are energetically tied to you in a negative way until you forgive them. The sooner your give forgiveness the sooner they will detach from your energy and You will feel better. Forgiving is not forgetting.

You don’t have to forget what they did, you shouldn’t. The past is important it helps build us into who we are, but forgiving someone (dead or alive) will leave you feeling better. I have said it for so long and those who take the following advice always come back and tell me how much better they feel after doing it.

Write a letter to the person who you are extending forgiveness to. Write down what they did wrong to you, how you feel about it, how it affected you and why you are going to forgive them. When that is done burn the letter. That’s it. Break the energetic tie.

After you do that please write to me and tell me how you did!

Knowing (Protect from Energy Draining)

That’s a fairly broad title “Knowing.” Its supposed to be and you already know why. That deep felt inkling of who you are inside is just waiting to hit the surface of the Earth and make positive life changing events happen for you and more importantly those around you!

People come up to you all of the time and they unload the pressures and problems of their lives to you, at the grocery store and the laundromat and at your kids school. What about your face says “Hey I wanna hear your problems!”? Its not your face, its your aura or your energy. It is the person who has an issue feeling you and your “vibes” and knowing they can talk to you, but more importantly get good feed back from you.

Imagine that, complete strangers knowing they can get good advice from you! What’s more unbelievable is you are reading this and are like “Yeah and every time I seemingly know exactly what to say to them.” That Knowing goes both ways, we know them and they know us. It can be dangerous if you aren’t aware of the two way street of Knowing could find yourself drained, depressed and riddled with anxiety.

Believe it or not that exchange between you and the other person can sometimes be energy taxing and leave you absolutely scrambling for that huge cup of coffee or wine. The coffee to get you moving the wine to calm the nerves. Don’t worry about it if you are just learning this now, we are going to get you set up for the rest of your life.

Knowing what you know now you can start every day fresh and rested with a nice layer of protection around you. Head back to some of my other blogs about energetic protection and cutting energy cords. You’ll find all you need to know about keeping yourself free of energy dumps and drains.

You can now go out into the world and know that when a certain kind of person reaches out to you you’ll understand that the exchange is happening and that you can avoid it or protect against energy draining while it’s happening with some easy grounding and energy protection.

Paranormal Unity Expo!

Have you ever wondered what would happen if there was a convention for “Ghost Hunters” like there is for Comic books and movies? If so, I have just the thing for you!

There are various types of conventions and expos out there, comicon, horrorcon, trek fest and so on but perhaps the most unique gathering of all the groups of people are at this convention, the Paranormal Unity Expo. We don’t go to get scared, we go to meet our favorite paranormal TV celebrities, see new gear and maybe learn a few new tricks for investigation in the field. Most of all, for me, I like going to see old friends, people I met at the convention and those who I know from outside and meet there.

This year I had a great time meeting some new folks, seeing some new paranormal Investigators, TV and private and so much more. One of my favorite things was to go watch Dave Tango and Steven Gonsolves talk about their experiences on “Ghost Hunters” TV show. They are a great couple of guys and really funny as well.

Closing your Third Eye?

That sounds counter to what we do around here! Well if we always are working on opening our third eye then we also should know how to close it.

Maybe your Third Eye has always been open and you didn’t even know it, I have a link to my latest video below and I explain some of the symptoms of having an always open Third Eye and how to remedy that.

Don’t worry, you can reopen your third eye any time you like. After you get used to opening and closing you will feel better and be much better at doing it.
